Specialized Polyethylene PE Sheet for Silo Lining

Molding Characteristics:
1. Crystalline material with low moisture absorption, prone to melt fracture; prolonged contact with hot metal may cause decomposition.
2. Good fluidity, but significant shrinkage range and values, susceptible to shrinkage cavities, sink marks, and deformation.
3. Rapid cooling rate; gating and cooling systems should dissipate heat slowly, with attention to controlling molding temperature. Low material temperature and high pressure may cause orientation; mold temperatures below 50°C result in rough plastic surfaces, poor weld lines, and flow marks. Warping deformation is likely above 90°C.
4. Uniform wall thickness is essential to avoid short shots and sharp corners, preventing stress concentration.

PP sheet is a semi-crystalline material with low density, easy welding and processing, excellent chemical resistance, heat resistance, impact resistance, and UV resistance. It is odorless and currently one of the most environmentally friendly plastics, primarily available in white and off-white, with other colors customizable to customer requirements. Applications include acid and alkali resistance equipment, environmental protection equipment, wastewater and exhaust emission systems, scrubbers, cleanrooms in semiconductor plants, and related industrial equipment. It is also used in manufacturing plastic water tanks, with thick PP sheets widely applied in stamping plates and punch press padding.
